Creators of Bayonetta, Mad world and the upcoming space strat DS game infinite space have released a teaser trailer for their 4th title, Vanquish. Apparently Directed by Shinji Mikami, the game does rather come over like a japanese take on halo, whilst also bringing to mind the aesthetic of Mikami’s previous gamecube title PN03.
Lovely orbital beam weapon shot in there, it’s not clear yet if the enemy is alien or another nation on earth, but whoever they are, they target locations easiest to composite in in post production. “aim for the intersection BETWEEN the buildings”.
The obvious Japanese Halo comments may well be totally unfounded as far as the gameplay goes.
